ADEMA To Begin Recording New Album Next Week
April 1, 2007ADEMA bassist Dave DeRoo has issued the following update:
"ADEMA is officially a part of the Immortal Records family! I wanna give a shout out to Happy Walters, Jamie Talbot, and everyone at Immortal. We look forward to working with you guys, and being with a label that 'gets it.'
"We have been writing songs for this record for the past several months, and we've been fine-tuning them with a cat by the name of Marshall Altman (MARC BROUSSARD, ZEBRAHEAD) the last few weeks. We are set to start recording the album with him in Los Angeles April 9th! We've really vibed with Marshall; he's got some great ideas, and we're really excited about working with the guy!
"We're all ready to get this fuckin' thing out, and get back on the road, and it looks like the record is gonna drop in June. We don't have a title for the album, or an exact release date yet, but trust me on this one — we are as pumped about getting this record out as you guys are!!! We got a handful of shows in May, and we're booking for the summer/fall as I type this."
ADEMA last year announced the addition of vocalist Bobby Reeves of the Los Angeles-based band LEVEL to the group's ranks. Reeves joined ADEMA as the replacement for Luke Caraccioli, who left the band in October 2005 — only six months after the release of their first album ("Planets") without the contributions of singer Marky Chavez (half-brother of KORN's Jonathan Davis).
ADEMA 2007 is:
Bobby Reeves - Vocals
Tim Fluckey - Guitars
Ed Faris - Guitars
Dave DeRoo - Bass
Kris Kohls - Drums
As previously reported, the ADEMA track "Giving In", from the band's self-titled 2001 debut, is being featured for the next six months in an advertising campaign from AT&T / Cingular Wireless. According to the band, the commercial "features the intro of the song, with a squadron of fighter jets soaring off in the distance (with the jet streams ending up as 'bars' of wireless signal...!)"
